Allow us to introduce you to the most effective and safest stain and odor remover made specifically for modern synthetic carpet: our very own Stain Fu®! (formerly known as “Rendall’s Certified Carpet Spot Remover”)

  • Milk
  • Beer
  • WD-40
  • Wet paint
  • Vomit
  • Feces
  • Makeup
  • Wet glue
  • Wet caulk
  • Mustard
  • Ketchup
  • Mayo
  • …and literally dozens and dozens of other spots, spills, and stains!

Why choose Stain Fu® Carpet Stain and Odor Remover?

Great question, and here’s the simple answer. Our product is designed specifically for modern synthetic carpet, it works amazingly well, and is tested safe and effective by the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI). The CRI is an association of major carpet manufacturing mills, and they are EXTREMELY selective about the types of products that they endorse for use on the carpet they make.

Why? Because every year the carpet mills receive countless complaints from carpet owners who have used products that weren’t tested which caused their carpeting to became discolored, bleached, melted, loose, less springy, matted, mottled, browned-out, tacky, frayed, and perhaps even ruined. The carpet mills want you, their customer, to be happy – just like we do. Also, like us, the carpet mills know that if you use products that aren’t designed and tested for modern carpet, you are taking a big risk of permanently damaging your carpet.

But there is an even better reason why you should choose our Carpet Stain Remover.

Because Stain Fu® flat-out works!

Look, we’ve been cleaning carpeting for a long, long time. We cleaned our first carpeting way back in 1983. We’ve seen virtually everything – and we mean EVERYTHING – you could ever imagine contaminate carpeting. From snake urine to chicken poop dropped right out of the animal onto the carpet – yep, we’ve seen it…and successfully cleaned it up.

Horse dung? PLOP!

Cow manure? (Moo Poo!)

Dog, cat, ferret, turtle, snake, sheep, goat, pig, hamster, gerbil, mouse, chipmunk, raccoon, and chinchilla bodily fluids?

Yep! We’ve successfully cleaned those up as well using nothing but our carpet stain remover, water, a towel, and sometimes a shovel, in the case of the Moo Poo and Horse dung.

Ok, enough of the poop. What else does Stain Fu® work on?

If you have a water-based spot, spill, or stain, and even some light oil-based spots, our product will work on it! Water-based spots are soils like soda, beer, wine, milk, sweat, urine, feces (we covered that already!), mustard, coffee, ketchup, makeup, mud, wet latex paint and glue, Elmer’s glue, and the list goes on and on.

As a matter of fact so far we have documented 157 different types of spots, spills, and stains that Stain Fu® works on – and the list just continues to grow!

As we mentioned above, Stain Fu® works great on all water-based spills, spots, and stains, but it also works well on many light oil-based spots like WD-40, motor oil, olive oil, grease, salad dressing, marker, machine oil, and dozens of others.

Sounds great, but will it work on every spot, spill, and stain?

While it truly is a revolutionary carpet spot remover, we’re honest and always tell the truth. As good as it is, Stain Fu® is not designed for heavy oil-based spots, spills, and stains like Super Glue, nail polish, melted candle wax, oil-based inks, enamel, silicone, spray foam, blacktop, dried latex paint or glue, or lacquer. For those types of stains you’re going to need an oil-based spot remover like Goof-Off or Goo Gone, which can be found at your local hardware stores.

The reason Stain Fu® can’t take off heavy oils is due to chemistry. Oil repels water, and Stain Fu® is water-based.

If you do have a heavy oil-based stain, be extremely careful not to over apply dry cleaning agents like Goof Off and Goo Gone because they can absolutely ruin the backing of your carpeting very quickly. The latex that holds together carpet backing is easily dissolved with heavy oil-based spot removers, which will cause fibers to pull out of the carpet backing causing permanent carpet damage.

How do you know if the spot is water-based or oil-based?

If you know what caused the spot, most of the time you’ll know whether it’s water or oil-based. For instance:

Water-Based Soils

  • Any fluids or solids from any living creature is always water-based (urine, feces, vomit, semen, mucous, blood, etc)
  • Any organic material (grass stains, tree sap, mud, rotted leaves, natural fertilizers, etc)
  • Almost everything you drink is water-based (coffee, milk, tea, juice, beer, wine, spirits, etc)
  • Most foods are completely, or at least mostly, water-based (soup, stew, yogurt, cottage cheese, pasta, sauce, spices, etc)
  • Most makeup is completely or at least mostly, water-based (lipstick, eyeliner, blush, powder, body spray, perfume, etc)

Oil-Based Soils

  • Any petroleum-based products (grease, wax, heavy oils, spray foam, many types of inks, etc.)
  • Heavy animal fats (lard, thick frying grease)

How do you use Stain Fu®?

It’s super simple! Just follow label directions.

  1. Check for colorfastness. If colorfast, proceed.
  2. Spray Stain Fu® on the spot, lightly agitate with a dull metal utensil (like a metal spoon) and blot up the spot (never rub or scrub!)
  3. Repeat until the spot, spill, or stain is gone!
